Hot Rolled Coil/Pack Sheet; It is obtained by rolling at a high temperature (1700 F and above), which is above the recrystallization temperature of the steel. When the steel is above its recrystallization temperature, it can be shaped and sized. Hot rolled sheet (steel) is generally less expensive than cold rolled steel, as there is no downtime and no reheating during production. Steel shrinks to a certain extent when cooled, thus less controlling the size and shape of the final product than cold rolled product.
